Solo trips in the UK, chosen for how you want to feel. Not a search engine, not a list of nine hundred rooms. Answer a few questions and get three places worth your time.
Other sites hand you nine hundred rooms and call it choice. We ask what you actually need, then put three stays in front of you. You pick one of the three. That is the whole idea, and it is why nobody leaves here with twelve tabs open and no booking.
About ten questions, give or take. None of them ask about star ratings. They ask how much company you want, how far you are willing to go, and what you would like the place to feel like when you close the door behind you.
Start the quizEach one comes with the reason it is here, in plain words. Quiet and anonymous. Big open lounges. Nobody will ask if you are waiting for someone. You read three, you choose one, you are done. Budget is a slider rather than a tier, and good solo trips start at seventy-five pounds a night.
The three below are examples of what the quiz returns, not live listings.Choose a stay and the days lay themselves out. Add a walk, a gallery, a table for one. Take any of it out again. It is your plan, and it stays yours.
The quiz gives you a lead type and the split behind it, because wanting to disappear on Friday and wanting a harbour walk on Saturday are not a contradiction. You are asked what you want this trip, not who you are.
Same questions, same three-option promise. One went off-grid for a hundred and fifty pounds, one ate dinner with strangers every night, one crossed the country in three stops. There is a version of this for whatever you are after.
Illustrative scenarios showing how the quiz responds, not real customers or bookings. It is the wrong question, which is why it is so hard to answer. Nobody can tell you where to go until they know what you want the trip to do for you. Rest, or a change of scene, or company, or something to come back having done.
So we ask that first. The solo travel quiz works out what you are actually after, then finds three UK places that fit it, from a bothy in the Brecon Beacons to a spa townhouse in Bath. About five minutes, no account, no email.
Answer it properlyAbout ten questions, three places, one plan you can change. Start whenever you like.
Start the quizSoloSloth is a solo travel recommendation site for England and Wales, currently in development. The quiz, the matching and everything you can click through is real, working software. The stays on the homepage are examples; the stays the quiz returns come from our own curated list of independent places, chosen for going alone.
Live prices and bookings come through LiteAPI, a hotel booking supplier. Where a stay has a live price for your dates, you can book it here and the payment is taken by Nuitée, LiteAPI's payment provider. Where it does not, we show a guide price from our list and link you to the property or to the site it is listed on, such as Canopy & Stars or Sawday's. We are still checking the list by hand, so details may change while that work goes on.

Last updated 13 October 2026. SoloSloth is a prototype, and this page will be replaced with a full legal policy before the site launches. Until then, here is a plain account of what actually happens today.
Your answers are held in your browser for the length of your visit, so the site can show your three stays and build your itinerary. They are not sent to our server, and they disappear from your browser when you close the tab or start the quiz again. If you have said yes to analytics cookies (see below), the options you choose are also recorded in Google Analytics, without your name or contact details, so we can see how the quiz is used. A place you type in is never recorded.
If you ask for live prices, the dates you choose and the stays on screen are sent to our server and on to LiteAPI, our booking supplier, to fetch prices. If you book, the name, email and phone number you enter are sent to LiteAPI and to the property so the booking can be made. Card details are entered on a payment form provided by Nuitée (LiteAPI's payment provider) and go directly to them; SoloSloth never sees or stores them. While a booking is in progress, its reference is kept in your browser so we can confirm it after payment, and it is removed once the booking is confirmed.
If you write to hello@solosloth.com, we keep your message and address only for as long as it takes to reply, and will not use it for anything else without asking first.
If you say yes in the cookie box, we use Google Analytics, a service from Google, to count visits and see how the site is used. That covers which pages and guides are read, how far down a guide people scroll, which quiz options are chosen, which stays are viewed, which links are clicked, and whether a booking is started or completed. It sets cookies on your device (named _ga and _ga_ followed by letters and numbers) and sends this usage information to Google, along with your approximate location and your device and browser type. It does not include your name, email address, phone number or card details. We keep it in Google Analytics for no longer than 14 months. We do not use it for advertising, and Google’s advertising features are switched off.
If you say no, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google. The site works the same either way. Your choice is saved in your browser, under the name ss_consent, for 12 months. You can change it at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Apart from that, SoloSloth does not set any cookies of its own.
Before launch, this page will be replaced with a full policy covering what SoloSloth, LiteAPI, Nuitée and any partner sites collect, and how long it is kept. Nothing on this page should be relied on as a final legal document.
